Palm Springs is a desert oasis known for its mid-century modern architecture, stunning mountain views, and vibrant nightlife. It's the perfect setting for a vintage inspired wedding. Becky and Ken's wedding was vibrant, unique, and full of love. Captured by Danielle Dong Photography, this inspiration offers insight on how you too can have a vintage Hollywood glam inspired desert wedding.
Our couple both work in Hollywood and tied that to their wedding theme with an old Hollywood vintage inspired wedding. Utilizing a vacation rental, the intimate two day event started off with immediate families witnessing their ceremony followed by dinner under the lush palm trees. The couple showed each guest appreciation in playing apart in their love story with hand written notes to each at their place setting.
Small details highlighted the couple. From the four leaf clover party favors to their more than fitting wedding hashtag #LuckeyInLove. Keeping to the theme, Becky and Ken's guest book allowed for guests to pick up the phone and leave a message for the couple with After the Tone. Tip: Details also are for guests, i.e, let them know what is going on. Adding a wedding weekend itinerary will help guests know what to expect and when.
The love Becky and Ken have for each other and for those around them was infectious. "All the immense thought and care they put into their day and their guests was apparent in every single choice that went into their celebration, and it was an honor capturing all the laughs they shared throughout the weekend." TIPS FOR A VINTAGE INSPIRED WEDDING
Dress to impress: For your Hollywood glam wedding, you'll want to dress to the nines. For the bride, think a classic Hollywood gown with red lips and sparkling jewelry. For the groom, a tuxedo or suit and tie are always a good choice.
Set the scene: It's time to start setting the scene for your vintage glam wedding. Add touches of glamour to the décor with gold accents, crystal chandeliers, and velvet seating. When selecting a venue, make note of the décor and furniture already included that fits into your theme.
Plan your ceremony and reception: When planning your ceremony and reception, keep the Hollywood theme in mind. For your ceremony, you could exchange vows in front of a backdrop of palm trees and mountain peaks. For your reception, you could set up tables and chairs around the pool and serve cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
Don't forget the details: When planning your vintage glam inspired wedding, don't forget the details. Hire a professional photographer and videographer to capture your special day. You may also want to hire a wedding planner to help you with the logistics. And don't forget food and beverage. Create a signature cocktail alongside your desert charcuterie for your guests to enjoy. Tie in the art deco vintage style in to your wedding cake, like Over The Rainbow Desserts did for Becky and Ken . Small details help leave big impressions and memories.
